HEALTH AND WELLNESS MAINTENANCE MASSAGE

Maintenance massage is a personal, on-going commitment to your health! Just as you use nourishing food, exercise and meditation to help maintain your mind and body in an ideal state of wellbeing, massage too significantly improves overall wellness.
Receiving a massage on a regular basis, (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) improves your health by increasing blood circulation, encouraging lymphatic drainage, boosting red and white blood cell production, toning skin, lengthening and detoxifying muscle tissue, inducing a deep state of mental, physical and emotional relaxation. Regular massage also improves sleep, and these are just a few of the reasons why using massage as part of your wellness routine is beneficial.
At Kavana Spa – we also offer WELLNESS PACKAGES that REWARD YOU for committing to your wellness practice by giving you generous discounts and exclusive member specials.

MEDICAL MASSAGE

What is medical massage?

Medical massage according to my definition, is massage that is performed by a licensed therapist that is knowledgeable in the human body, medical conditions and the effects of medications.

What makes medical massage different?

Unlike a general massage; our medical massage therapists start by completing a thorough client assessment, then set an intention based on the combined goals of the client and therapist, and then they create a massage treatment plan that is individualized for the client on the table. Often times no 2 treatments are alike, since an individual’s needs are not the same from day to day.

Do you need to have a medical condition to enjoy and benefit from Medical Massage?

SPORTS MASSAGE

Is a deeper form of massage that is intended to enhance performance and speed up recovery. A sports massage session usually combines a variety of massage therapies including for example -

Performance Enhancing techniques - myofascial release, trigger point therapy

Recovery techniques – lymphatic drainage

Sports Massages can be done pre event, post event and for general maintenance. They are anywhere from 1-2hrs long and will leave your muscles feeling flushed, and ready to perform again at your highest level.
